Also spelled “disequilibrium” is a feeling of unsteadiness or off balance while sitting, standing or walking. A general feeling of being “off balance” or unable to right oneself and move through space with confidence. May also be described by patients as “weak in the knees” or “knees feel like they will buckle,” in the absence of quadricep muscle weakness.
